Ventoux on closed roads 2024

Luberon

Roadtrip around the Géant de Provence

Originally from Metz, since I've been driving a Porsche, I've got into the habit of crossing the German border to the Black Forest and spending a weekend in Baden-Baden to enjoy the surrounding roads.

I was also able to meet a number of leading figures from the Porsche world, such as Gerhard Stefan, founder of GS Manufaktur, who some describe as the "German Singer", and Alexander Hoch, founder of Advanced Canvas. When I asked them to come to Foret Noire, they immediately opened the doors of their workshops, which we'll be visiting during our stay.

Roads, places, encounters: another exceptional program for this Black Forest roadtrip.

Roadbook in the Luberon

Saturday : We'll cross the Luberon along its most beautiful roads, from Lourmarin to Gordes, both classified as France's most beautiful villages.

We'll be taking the Combe de Lourmarin road, the RD943. Carved out of the limestone massif, it is the only route through the Luberon to the Pays d'Apt or Pays d'Aigues. We'll take advantage of the breathtaking panoramas it offers, between breathtaking cliffs and untamed nature.

On our arrival in the commune of Gordes, we will make a stop at the famous Abbaye Notre-Dame de Senanquesa magnificent 12th-century Cistercian monastery

Rally - Gorges de la Nesque on closed roads

Sunday morning: We will have the pleasure of being able to enjoy the 26 km of the Gorges de la Nesque, privatized for us all morning, starting from Villes-sur-Auzon on the following route to Monieux! The spectacular D942 road through this wild canyon is dotted with tunnels and belvederes offering unforgettable driving sensations. We'll cover the road several times in a rally-style loop (without stopwatch).

FFSA-licensed track marshals, fire extinguishers, tow trucks, ambulances, fire department, emergency doctors and a dedicated radio relay will be on hand to ensure your safety.

Les Lavandes

Sunday lunchtime : Lunch at the restaurant Les Lavandes in Monieux. The restaurant showcases local treasures such as truffles, spelt, cheeses and Ventoux lamb. Around the fountain and in the shade of plane and chestnut trees, the terrace offers a peaceful and refreshing moment.

Ventoux hill-climb on closed roads

Sunday APM :

In the afternoon, on the climb up to Sault in the middle of the forest, 12 km of the famous Ventoux hill-climb route are reserved for us, all the way to Chalet Reynard. We'll run it up and down the hill (without a stopwatch).

FFSA-licensed track marshals, fire extinguishers, tow trucks, ambulances, fire department, emergency doctors and a dedicated radio relay will be on hand to ensure your safety.
